Patricia Smith is a medical marijuana consultant, speaker and newspaper columnist with four decades of experience in the cannabis industry. She founded GrassRootsSolutions in 2009 as a patients rights advocacy group.  GRS actively lobbies the government on behalf of patients, caregivers, and dispensaries to allow individuals the right to choose the medical treatments they prefer in conjunction with their physician’s recommendation. Her primary focus is to get marijuana off the Controlled Substances Act. This one act would open the door for medical research, allow a doctor to prescribe cannabis, and give patients a medical defense in Federal court.

Patricia has been working to educate the public by conducting free seminars regarding the potential benefits of medical marijuana therapy. She strives to inform patients of both the pros and cons of MMJ therapy and how to use this medicine in a safe and responsible manner. Patti feels that as the baby boomers age, there will be a growing weed for this therapy and having reliable information is crucial to making an informed decision.

Smith was instrumental in lobbying for testing of all cannabis products to ensure purity and establish the potency before they are sold to patients. At the time, only 1% of the medicine in dispensaries was being tested. Now, under the MCRSA, it is mandatory.

Pharroh is an architect of designer music. Deeply immersed in the Northern California hip-hop underground, Pharroh has been leaving his mark on outdoor festivals, with his slick musings and musical, rhythmic cadence.

A versatile storyteller, his conscious lyrics commit to an honest reflection of where we are as a society with wit and an unnatural lack of hubris. His ability to take the listener through deep concepts with a silly, sometimes playful sense of humor is what sets him apart from your everyday lyricist. With his crafted verses of well thought out words and a strong spirit, it’s apparent this student of life is paying attention to a world in which both celebration and hardship exist simultaneously.

Pharroh has spawned a cult following by way of scoring the soundtrack for the Afro Samurai video game, as well as collaborating on tracks with hip-hop peers TalibKweli, TheGrouch, Casual, GiftofGab, TheCuff, and many more. He’s been fortunate to share the stage with GZA, LyricsBorn, TheHeiroglyphics, Del the Funky Homosapien, BlackSheep, Living Legends, QBert, ZionI, KRS-1, Chali 2na and many other heavy hitters.
